Top 25 Best Heavy Metal Band (23) : Alice In Chains

posted by my-blogmedia | Monday, June 30, 2008 |

Hi rockers, here is the 23th position of the Top 25 Best Heavy Metal Band according to yahoo music site together with their clip "Would".Enjoy.

Alice In Chains
Some people might choose Soundgarden and I might too, on a different day. But Alice In Chains were heavier and weirder, bluesier and more decadent. They pre-dated grunge and uncomfortably jammed themselves onto the Seattle tugboat as it sailed into the Pearl Jam nation. To anyone who says "Hey, they're not metal," I remind you that heavy metal began with a very strong blues influence and Alice In Chains were far bluesier than many bands who have since come to define metal.

Wait for the higher position in next posting.

Euro 2008: Spain is the new Champion

posted by my-blogmedia | Monday, June 30, 2008 |

Congratulation for Spain !!.

They finally got the Euro 2008 Champion title for this year. After 44 long years - virtually as long as the trophy drought still afflicting England - Spain finally threw off their chains on Sunday in winning the European Championship, beating Germany with a Fernando Torres strike.

A final appearance in Euro 1984 had been the closest a football-obsessed country had come since - old political rivals and neighbours France proving too strong.

On that occasion their chief tormentor was Michel Platini - so it was appropriate that the man who is now president of UEFA should hand over the winners' medals.
"Forty four years later, we did it again! It's the best day of my life," as Cesc Fabregas put it as Spain finally hit the jackpot after numerous promising showings in lower age-group competitions.

Now it has belatedly moved the same way at international level, away from Italy, Germany and a France side who bested Spain in the second round of the last World Cup after the latter's typically fine start.

The sporting "black legend" began a long time before that, following a 1934 World Cup loss to be precise to, who else, the Italians.

In 1962, it seemed a team with the likes of Alfredo Di Stefano on board had to have a good chance of glory but the Real Madrid legend picked up an injury and another chance of glory went begging.

Then the 1964 Euros - when finally silverware arrived via a 2-1 win over the Soviet Union on home soil for a team coached by Jose Villalonga.

That win, until Sunday, was the exception which would prove the rule for 44 years - back to when grizzled current coach Luis Aragones was a sprightly 26-year-old.

Top 10 Cheapest Places for Vacation (5) : Zambia

posted by my-blogmedia | Monday, June 30, 2008 |

Hi, my-blogmedia readers. We are proudly present the top 10 cheapest places in the world for your trip or vacation. Here is the fifth place. Enjoy.

ZAMBIA
An African safari doesn't have to involve forking over thousands of dollars to a U.S.-based tour operator. It's possible to book your safari after you arrive — cutting out the middleman and saving a wad of cash. You can even travel to the game parks independently.

Zambia (www.zambiatourism.com) is not just one of Africa's unheralded destinations; it's also one of the continent's best safari values. South Luangwa National Park is a magnificent preserve, with leopards, elephants, zebras, giraffes and hippos roaming free. Just outside the park, budget chalets charge under $40 a day — or even less if you're willing to camp.

Zambia is also home to another of Africa’s most stunning spectacles: Victoria Falls. The Zambian side of the thundering falls offers camping for less than $5, or you can rent a hut for $40 to $50, with meals included.

The organization will distribute the donation, made through the couple's Jolie-Pitt Foundation, to four organizations working on behalf of children who have lost parents, homes and schools in Iraq.

"We hope to encourage others to give to these great organizations," Pitt added in the statement.

Last year, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation gave more than $300,000 to support the International Rescue Committee's relief program for Darfur refugees.

Jolie, who's expecting twins, has said the babies are due in August. She and Pitt have four children: Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2.

How to make your Computer Run Faster (2): Reinstall Windows

posted by my-blogmedia | Saturday, June 28, 2008 | ,

Hi, just continuing the first posting, is your computer/PC/Laptop/Notebook run slowly?. Here is another tip for you. Read it.

Reinstall Windows
So your PC is acting wonky and you need to reinstall Windows. Starting from scratch can take hours. The faster solution is to back up your data (as described in the item above) and then use the recovery tool that accompanied your PC. The tool usually comes either as a bundled CD or DVD or as a hidden partition that you can access at boot time. Consult your computer's documentation to see which setup applies.

Recovery tools usually work by overwriting the data on your hard drive with a fresh image of the factory-default software. Windows will be back up and running quickly, but it won't have the programs you installed on it, or your settings. Restore your personal files from the backup you made before starting this process, and then reinstall any applications you need.

Top 10 Cheater Animals (10): Fox

posted by my-blogmedia | Friday, June 27, 2008 |

Reader, here are the top 10 cheater animals based on survey. My-blogmedia will present it one by one, starting from number 10. Here it is. Enjoy.

Cheater, cheater, belly eater! There have been plenty of people who’ve scammed their way to the top, and the same goes for the animal kingdom. Find out which creatures are bending the rules to stay ahead, or sometimes, just to survive.

Fox
Perhaps the phrase "sly as a fox" owes its origin to the ultra-sneaky foxes in the mountains of South America. Quite frankly, the foxes need to be as cunning as possible, as birds in this region -- such as the rhea -- tend to be quite large. And you know what they say about big birds ... big eggs. Foxes wait for the rheas to make a move so they can sneak in and snatch the eggs, but because the eggs are often too large to grab in their mouths, the foxes will roll the eggs with their snouts to knock them against something, like a rock or a tree, in the hopes of breaking them down. So, does that qualify as over easy or sunny-side up?

Top 10 Cheapest Places for Vacation (4) : India

posted by my-blogmedia | Friday, June 27, 2008 |

Hi, my-blogmedia readers. We are proudly present the top 10 cheapest places in the world for your trip or vacation. Here is the fourth place. Enjoy.

INDIA
India can be a challenging place to travel, but no other nation on Earth offers such a thrilling mix of cultures, landscapes and spiritual possibilities. If you have an adventurous spirit, you can get by on less than $20 a day — but even $40 to $50 a day will land you some creature comforts and more elaborate meals.

First-time visitors might consider flying into sprawling, bustling Delhi before making a side trip to Agra's wondrous Taj Mahal. Then go off to tour the vast province of Rajasthan, with its outrageously ornate forts and palaces. Rajasthan is full of adventure, whether you dream of spotting an elusive tiger or taking a camel safari under the stars. Its cities are equally impressive. In dusty-pink Jaipur, chaotic bazaars offer unbelievable deals on jewelry, pottery, fabrics and crafts. Another key stop is the city of Jodhpur, where the rooftops sport an intense shade of cobalt blue.

Euro 2008: Spain Goes to Final after beat Russia 3-0

posted by my-blogmedia | Friday, June 27, 2008 |

Hi, readers. Luis Aragones along his troopers has a fantastic match result.

Finally, Spain are through to the final of Euro 2008 following a very convincing 3-0 win over the Russians in the semi final on Thursday.

The Spaniards were the stronger side in the first half but never created a one hundred percent chance. And there was bad news for the Iberians as star striker David Villa pulled a muscle in his upper leg when taking a free kick and had to come off.

His replacement Cesc Fabregas though, proved to be of great importance in the second half and improved the connections between midfield and attack.

The deadlock was broken in the 50th minute when Andrés Iniesta sent in a low pass for Xavi Hernández to put the ball between goalkeeper Akinfeev's legs.

And things got more certain for Spain in the 73rd minute. Fabregas found substitute Guïza with a great looping pass to beat the defense, and Guïza lobbed it over the goalkeeper to double the lead.

Things were really in the pocket for the Spanish when David Silva converted a Fabregas cross in the 82nd minute to make it 3-0.

Spain have three days to prepare for their third ever European Championships final, which will be played against Germany on Sunday.

Top 25 Best Heavy Metal Band (24) : Mercyful Fate

posted by my-blogmedia | Thursday, June 26, 2008 |

Hi rockers, here are the Top 25 Best Heavy Metal Bands according to yahoo music site recently. Here is the 24th position.

Mercyful Fate
A Danish metal band fronted by a guy in slightly wrong Gene Simmons make-up, a screech that sends chills up your spine and a goofy fun-lovin' name like King Diamond. Yet, for all that, the guitar playing, the relentless rhythms and the obsession with Satanic gobblygook make them sureshots in my book. Slightly more entertaining than Venom, who were number 26 and therefore left off this list.

Wait for the up position in next posting.

How to make your Computer Run Faster (1)

posted by my-blogmedia | Thursday, June 26, 2008 | ,

Hi my-blogmedia readers, is your computer/PC/Laptop/Notebook run slowly?. Here is the tip for you. Read it.

Move your media files to an external drive

Hard drive filling up? Nothing frees space faster than moving your music library to an external or second internal drive.

First, close any music-playing software. In XP, open My Documents and drag the My Music folder to the external drive. Windows will figure out that you're moving a special folder and will change its own settings accordingly. (If you don't use the My Music folder, just drag the folder you use to the drive. Windows doesn't have to treat it as a special folder because, well, it isn't.)

In Vista, click Start, right-click Music and then select Properties. Click the Location tab. Change the path to a folder on your new hard drive and click OK. If Windows asks whether you want to create a new folder, click Yes. When Windows inquires whether you want to move all of the files, click Yes again. If you use Windows Media Player, open it after the move and press F3. Select the new Music folder and let the application search for files.

Euro 2008: Germany Goes to Final after beat Turkey 3-2

posted by my-blogmedia | Thursday, June 26, 2008 |

Wow, Germany comes as the first finalist for Euro 2008.

Germany are the first team to qualify for the final of Euro 2008 after a 3-2 win over Turkey in a more than entertaining semi final clash.

The Turks were the stronger side in the first half and got their reward when Ugur Boral opened the score in the 22nd minute. Kazim hit the crossbar - for the second time in the match - but Boral netted in the rebound.

But Germany reacted soon as Bastian Schweinsteiger converted a cross from Podolski just four minutes after the opening goal.

It took until the 79th minute for the scoreline to change as Miroslav Klose took advantage of a mistake by Rüstü and headed home for 2-1.

But the Turks did what they have been doing so often in this tournament, and scored a late equaliser. It was in the 86th minute when Sabri served Semih near the German goal and the latter pushed the ball past Lehmann for 2-2.

Germany did not allow that equaliser to affect them though and showed that their trademark - scoring in the last minutes - is still theirs.

A great German attack in the 90th minute eventually enabled Philipp Lahm to slam the ball into the net and take Germany to the final.

On Sunday in Vienna, Germany will meet either Russia or Spain to decide who is to lift this year's European trophy.

In the colorful and chaotic cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, you can rough it for a few dollars a day, or get a comfortable room with air conditioning and hot showers for $30 a night. In any street market, a mere $1 buys a steaming bowl of pho and a cold beer.

In Halong Bay, you can kayak amid towering limestone formations; the city of Hue offers a wealth of ancient imperial sites. For tropical seclusion, head for Phu Quoc Island, where a simple beachfront bungalow (including breakfast) can be yours for only $17 to $25.

Joke: A Cowboy and A Lesbian

posted by my-blogmedia | Wednesday, June 25, 2008 |

Hi my-blogmedia readers. From now on, my-blogmedia would has a joke column for you. Enjoy.

An old cowboy, dressed in a cowboy shirt, hat, jeans, spurs and chaps went to a bar, sat down, and ordered a drink. As he was sipping his whiskey, a young lady sat down next to him. After she ordered her drink she turned to the cowboy and asked him, "Are you a real cowboy?"

To which he replied, "Well, I've spent my whole life on the ranch herding cows, breaking horses, and mending fences, so I reckon I am." After a short while, he asked her what she was. She replied, "I've never been on a ranch so I'm not a cowboy, but I am a lesbian. I spend my whole day thinking about women. As soon as I get up in the morning, I think of women. When I eat, shower, watch TV. Everything seems to make me think of women."

A short while later she left and the cowboy ordered another drink. A couple sat down next to him and asked, "Are you a real cowboy?"
To which he replied, "I always thought I was, but I just found out that I'm a lesbian.

Top 25 Best Heavy Metal Band (25) : Mesuggah

posted by my-blogmedia | Tuesday, June 24, 2008 |

Hi rockers, here are the Top 25 Best Heavy Metal Band according yo yahoo music site recently. I would like to post the band one bu one starting from the 25th position. Let's begin with the number 25 position.

Meshuggah
Swedish metal bands prefer to make things difficult for themselves. First off, they're in Sweden, not exactly a prime lift-off point for World Domination, unless you're IKEA. Top that with the fact that these guys refuse to play in standard time signatures, standard key signatures or do anything that could be considered standard. They sometimes don't even make the standard "evil" faces. They try. But it always looks like they're about to laugh. The music really is like shoving your head into an industrial fan. Impressive.

Top 10 Cheapest Places for Vacation (2) : Laos

posted by my-blogmedia | Monday, June 23, 2008 |

Hi, my-blogmedia readers. We are proudly present the top 10 cheapest places in the world for your trip or vacation. Here are 10 places — undiscovered by most tourists — that are incredible bargains for the adventurous budget traveler. Here is the second place. Enjoy.

LAOS
Laos is one of the best bargains in Southeast Asia —a nd that's saying something, since most countries there are relatively cheap for travelers. Because tourism is only beginning to make inroads in Laos, visitors are not seen as mere revenue streams; locals extend a warm and genuine welcome.
Life moves at a languid pace in the former royal capital of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, French colonial architecture coexists with dozens of graceful Buddhist temples, and monks in brilliant orange robes stroll the streets. You can find an inexpensive guesthouse for less than $20 a night; open-air cafes along the Mekong River offer absurdly cheap French and Lao specialties.
If you're backpacking, set off into the rugged countryside for caving, jungle trekking and a taste of traditional village life. In Xieng Khouang province, don't miss the Plain of Jars, a mysterious field lined with hundreds of ancient stone urns.

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee Back Together

posted by my-blogmedia | Monday, June 23, 2008 | , ,

Hmm..., Pam and Tomy back together?.

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, whose tumultuous marriage went belly-up in 1998 after three years, two sons and one seminal sex tape together, are once again hot and heavy.

"Pamela and the kids have moved in with me," the rocker kvells to Rolling Stone. "It's awesome, man. It's definitely working. You can tell on the kids' faces -- they're happy when we're together."

The aging bombshell, whose recent romantic misadventures have included disastrously brief marriages to Kid Rock and Rick Salomon, once accused Lee of a variety of misdeeds, from giving her hepatitis C to spousal abuse.

But maybe there's something to what she predicted in 1999: "I picture Tommy and me ... old, toothless, on a bench somewhere with our tattoos." Adds an optimistic Lee to Rolling Stone, "We've only given it a try 800 times -- 801, here we go."

Euro 2008 Flash News: Spain beat Italy and go to Semifinal !!

posted by my-blogmedia | Monday, June 23, 2008 |

Hi all, finally Spain go to Semifinal after beat Italy 4-2 on penalties kick. Here is the report.

The match here on Sunday finished 0-0 after 120 mostly dull minutes and then Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas saved penalties by Daniele De Rossi and Antonio Di Natale as Spain won the shoot-out 4-2.

Donadoni had claimed he was proud of his players and said they had done all they could have but the FIGC president refused to back him publicly.

"I had already talked to Roberto Donadoni before this game like ... and we had already established that after the game we will assess together the outcome of the European Championships," he said.

"So for the next few days we will meet and discuss what's going to happen.

"Tonight (Sunday) I want to thank the team and head coach because although we lost we have certainly done Italian football proud.

However, when pressed on giving a definite answer on Donadoni's future, Abete side-stepped the issue.

"I can say that in the next few days we will meet and talk about it.

"Today we've gone out so in the next few days we will retrace our steps and discuss elements and specific incidents.

Euro 2008 : Russia beat Holland 3-1 and go to semifinal !!

posted by my-blogmedia | Sunday, June 22, 2008 |

Wow..!!, Great match that Russia won the match. It is a fantastic result.

Russia beat 1988 champions Holland 3-1 after extra-time in their Euro 2008 quarter-final here on Saturday.

Two goals in extra-time - from Dmitri Torbinsky and Andrei Arshavin - sealed a deserved victory for the Russians, whose coach Guus Hiddink is a former Dutch national coach.

Arshavin extended Russia's lead in the 116th minute - for his second goal in two matches - after Dmitri Torbinsky had restored Russia's lead in the 112th minute with his first goal of the tournament, though, an earlier booking had ruled him out of the semi-final.

Roman Pavlyuchenko had opened the scoring in the 56th minute - his third goal of the tournament. However, Ruud van Nistelrooy equalised for Holland in the 87th minute - his second goal of the tournament and taking him equal with Dutch legend Johan Cruyff on 33 career international goals - to make it 1-1.

The winners play either Italy or Spain in Thursday's semi-final in Vienna.

There's a tiger in your tank this week. Thanks to the placement of Mars in Leo, you're in touch with your inner animal side. If anyone even thinks of telling you what to do or how to do it, watch the fur fly! On Wednesday the Full Moon takes place in your sector of fun and amusements and you find you're so busy blazing new roads that you don't have leisure time for your friends and companions. Remember, your ruler is the Sun and you need to play, since having fun is how you maintain your cheerful disposition.

Virgo
You're in luck, Virgo, thanks to the fact that Mercury, your ruling planet and guiding light, turns direct on Thursday. Your telephone and computer are operational again and your correspondence flows smoothly. It's a great time to take the vacation you had to postpone, since now your runway is clear of obstacles. Issues with a family member may be your overwhelming concern on Wednesday. Your loved one may prove to be more of a handful than you can legitimately cope with. It might be time to call in a professional to help you deal with him or her.

Libra
You're pressed for time, Libra, and you need to make difficult decisions regarding your priorities. In the interest of time management, you may weed a few unhealthy or unproductive associations out of your social garden this weekend. Mars in your sector of friendships opposes Neptune and you take pruning shears to your address list. If someone doesn't fully support you, makes snide remarks about you, or is just deadwood in general, he or she has no place in your life, especially when you find it hard to find time for your true friends and associates.

Scorpio
A new day dawns for you on Wednesday. The Full Moon takes place in your sector of values and you give serious thought to revising your current lifestyle. You'll be ready to burst through the ties that bind as you galvanize yourself to make the most of your opportunities. Be careful on Friday as the Sun in Gemini opposes your ruling planet Pluto, and make sure you don't put yourself into any unsafe situations. At times you may have a desire to experiment with life's darker side and that's not a good idea this week.

Sagittarius
You are the Don Quixote of the Zodiac, and your philosophical ability is the envy of your friends and family. You have a chance to put on your thinking cap this week as the Full Moon takes place in Sagittarius on Wednesday. Don't worry. No matter how you alter your choices, you'll still be the one in charge of your life. On Friday the Sun enters Cancer and your sector of transformation. The start of the Solstice may find you diving into metaphysical books. You might decide to ante up your learning quotient by taking a few enrichment courses.

Capricorn
You want to go to a quiet retreat to think this week. If you can't afford a few days away, you may turn your living quarters into a personal sanctuary. If your residence is too noisy, consider going to your library's quiet room for a while. Try to compose your thoughts and emotions so you can cope with all the big changes taking place in your life. On Friday your vitality sags as the Sun enters Cancer opposite your Zodiac sign of Capricorn. You have a lot of inner strength, but you need to shore up your physical stamina.

Aquarius
It's your time to play this week now that you're caught up with your schedule and your to-do list is finally finished. What's left? Just to have a good time, that's what! On Friday the Sun enters Cancer and your sector of daily activities, and it's your signal to get out and enjoy yourself. On Sunday your mind and emotions will be strongly in sync, thanks to the Moon in Aquarius. You may have the desire to reconcile with an associate and consider taking the first steps. A simple hello could work wonders.

Pisces
This week you're tempted to leave the stress of your life behind and take off for a quick trip to Fantasy Island. On Wednesday the Full Moon in Sagittarius squares your Zodiac sign of the Fish and you want to dive underwater rather than deal with a challenging situation. Rely on your circle of support to help out, and consider asking a friend for advice. On Friday you'd like to display your artistic ability. You'll pull out your watercolors and enter an art show or submit your poems to magazines and literary journals.

Euro 2008 Flash News: Turkey goes to Semi Final !!

posted by my-blogmedia | Saturday, June 21, 2008 |

Bravo Turkey !!.What a heroic match for them. See the quick report of the match.

A dramatic equalizer by Semih Sentürk helped Turkey move on to the Euro 2008 semi-finals after a 3-1 penalty shootout win, following a 1-1 draw with Croatia on Friday evening.

Croatia started brightly and nearly went in front in the 19th minute as Ivica Olic took a cross from Luka Modric, but his sliding shot hit the crossbar and the rebound was headed over by Niko Kranjcar.

Turkey came close on 38 minutes when Mehmet Topal blasted a 40-yard shot just inches wide of the far post with Stipe Pletikosa at full extension, but it went to half-time scoreless.

Croatia were easily the better team in that half and should have gone in front on 70 minutes as Ivan Rakitic blasted one over the top in space in the area.

Eventually it went to extra time, and Turkey improved and Semih hit a shot from the edge of the area 10 minutes in that didn't miss the target by much, but it was Croatia that would strike.

In the 119th minute, Rüstü Reçber went to play the ball in the area, but a Croatian player beat him to it and crossed to the center where a grateful Ivan Klasnic headed home.

It appeared to be heartbreak for Turkey, but as they have done twice before in this tournament, they struck late, Semih firing home from 20 yards in the second minute of added time - of which there was schedule to be one - and the ball beat Pletikosa to send it to penalties.

Luka Modric missed the first penalty and Ivan Rakitic followed suit with Croatia's third, leaving Turkey up 3-1 after three rounds. Mladen Petric then stepped up, but his shot was saved by Rüstü sending Turkey through to the semi-finals to face Germany.

Top 10 Foods four your Health and Bones: Artichokes (10)

Hi my-blogmedia readers. Continuing the earlier post and this is the last series of the food. Enjoy.

Artichokes
Lauded for centuries as an aphrodisiac, this fiber-rich plant contains more bone-building magnesium and potassium than any other vegetable. Its leaves are also rich in flavonoids and polyphenols — antioxidants that can cut the risk of stroke — and vitamin C, which helps maintain the immune system. "Eat them as often as you can," says Bowerman. Ripe ones feel heavy for their size and squeak when squeezed.

See you on the next topic.

Euro 2008 : Germany beat Portugal 3-2 and go to semifinal !!

posted by my-blogmedia | Friday, June 20, 2008 |

WOW.., bravo Germany!!.

Germany are through to the semi finals of Euro 2008 after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Portugal in the tournament's first quarter final.

The Germans dominated the match in the first half and took the lead in the 22nd minute. A great attack on the left wing ended with Podolski sending in a low cross and Bastian Schweinsteiger easily scored for 1-0.

And only four minutes later, Schweinsteiger was again influential with a free kick on the left wing, which was headed home by Miroslav Klose.

Portugal got one back in the 40th minute as Cristiano Ronaldo had a shot blocked by Lehmann but Nuno Gomes netted in the re-bound.

But on the hour mark, just when Portugal were gaining strength, it was Michael Ballack to head past Ricardo from another Schweinsteiger free kick.

Substitute Helder Postiga brought the tension back into the game with a successful header in the 87th minute, but the Germans avoided the equaliser in the remainder of the match.

In the semi finals, Germany face the winner of tomorrow's quarter final between Croatia and Turkey.

Chris Rock and Metallica at Benarroo Music & Art Festival

posted by my-blogmedia | Wednesday, June 18, 2008 |

Metallica's Lars Ulrich and Kirk Hammett introduced Rock, and the comedian in turn introduced who he called "the baddest ... band in the world." Both acts were unlikely fare for the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, which began in 2002 as primarily a jam band event.

But in recent years, Bonnaroo has broadened itself and brought more diverse fans to its 700-acre countryside site south of Nashville. Among the tens of thousands of festival-goers, Rock, Metallica and many other performers were very conscious of their entry into a tie-dyed world they seldom traffic in.

In a bit in his set about Prozac and other medications, Rock chastised the crowd, who he said was likely on "performance-enhanci ng drugs." "You all should be ashamed of yourselves for taking antidepressants to see a comedian," joked Rock. "I am an antidepressant!" Metallica also touted its cheerfulness.

"Do you feel good?" lead singer James Hetfield asked the crowd. "Metallica is here to make you feel better." Performing on the main stage Friday night, Rock jumped right into his material, much of which he's performed during recent touring. Looking on backstage were many of the other comedians performing at the festival, as well as Jack White, whose band the Raconteurs took the main stage earlier in the day.

Rock worked the giant crowd without missing a beat in his timing, hitting on the election, Anna Nicole Smith and high gas prices despite the war in Iraq, ("If I invade IHOP, pancakes are going to be cheaper in my house," he said).

Metallica had a more difficult time winning over the crowd, which was head-banging but apparently not moshing. Hetfield repeatedly urged the audience to sing along. He asked, "We do have a few Metallica friends here, yes?"

Hetfield occasionally informed the crowd the titles of the songs they were playing and which album they were from. "That was `No Remorse' from `Kill `Em All,'" he said, an annotation that would have normally been completely superfluous for the band.

But Metallica is an exceptionally hard working band — they could be heard practicing backstage in a trailer shortly before their set. Eventually, they won the crowd over with their tenacity, as well as classics like "Sad But True" and "Enter Sandman," the latter of which was accompanied by pyrotechnics.

Usually sold-out with an attendance of 80,000, this year's Bonnaroo hadn't yet reached capacity, but was overrun with tens of thousands of fans who came from far and wide to camp through the weekend. "So is everyone having a nice communal experience?" Vampire Weekend lead singer Ezra Koenig asked the crowd. He later added, with perhaps some sarcasm: "You guys, I'm sure, have a full weekend in store of discovering yourselves and others."

Euro 2008 : Netherlands vs Romania 2-0, Italy vs France 2-0

posted by my-blogmedia | Wednesday, June 18, 2008 |

Romania have failed to make it to the quarter finals of Euro 2008 as result of a 2-0 defeat by the Netherlands. Romania lacked the creativity to really threaten the Dutch team, which was without most of its key players as Van Basten decided to rest some of his regulars.

Codrea had a good chance near the end of the first half but blasted his shot over the crossbar. Klaas Jan Huntelaar ended Romania's dreams in the 54th minute with a goal scored from close range. And Robin van Persie doubled the Dutch lead in the 87th minute, powering a shot past Lobont and into the roof of the goal for 2-0. The Netherlands will play their quarter final match in Basel on Saturday, against Sweden or Russia.

At another place, Italy success too go to the quarter final. World champions Italy beat old foes France 2-0 here on Tuesday to go through to the Euro 2008 quarter-finals as Group C runners up with a helping hand from Holland whilst their rivals and 2006 World Cup finalists exited.

Tips for Bikini Workout !

posted by my-blogmedia | Tuesday, June 17, 2008 | ,

Hi girls, you wanna build your body to fit the bikini style?. Hmm.., here is the little tip for it. Enjoy.

If you’re a one-piece kind of woman hankering for a bikini-ready body, here’s a plan designed to reach all the body parts your bathing suit won’t. Don’t worry—if a string isn’t your thing, and you’re more of a tankini kind of gal, or you’re simply hoping to look better in a suit with a daring back or a few strategically-placed keyholes, this workout’s for you!

You’ll target your abs, butt, thighs, and chest with these six exercises. But this is no standard workout—we’ve developed a two-in-one toning routine that combines upper and lower body moves so you get the most out of your exercise efforts.

It’s about training smarter, not longer. By recruiting more muscles at once, you tackle more flab in the same amount of time. Plus, more muscles moving means that you’ll get the added benefit of a bigger calorie burn, making it easier to lean down as you firm up.

These exercises will strengthen and tone your bikini body. To reduce extra body fat, follow a high energy, lower-calorie eating plan and include at least 30 minutes of cardio work such as walking, running or cardio fitness classes on most days of the week. If you stick to the plan, in as soon as eight weeks you’ll uncover the best birthday suit your bathing suit can’t hide!

HOW TO DO IT:
Choose a weight that is heavy enough to challenge your target muscles, but not so heavy that your joints feel strained. Start with dumbbells that are at least 3 to 5 pounds and gradually work up to using 6 to 20 pounds, depending on the exercise.

Start by performing one set of eight to 12 repetitions of each exercise, and work up to doing three sets of eight to 12 reps. Do this workout two to three times a week with a rest day in between.Modify this workout to match your fitness level. Follow the recommended moves, or adapt them as needed by clicking on a similar exercise that is easier or more challenging.

Euro 2008 Flash News: Germany vs Austria 1-0

posted by my-blogmedia | Tuesday, June 17, 2008 |

Readers, finally Germany pass through the second round after beat Austria.

Germany booked a quarter-final berth against Portugal as they finished runners-up in Group B of Euro 2008 following a 1-0 victory over Austria.

Five minutes in, Germany should have gone in front but Mario Gomez failed to get a touch on a wonderful ball by Miroslav Klose, but in the 19th minute, Austria squandered a chancec of their own as Erwin Hoffer made a bad touch on a good ball from Martin Harnik.

Hoffer had another chance at the start of the second half on an odd-man break, but again the touch is what let him down, and Germany were able to clear the threat.

Those misses would prove costly in the 49th minute when Germany captain Michael Ballack hit a blistering free kick from 28 yards that beat Austria goalkeeper Jürgen Macho to the top right corner, the first goal on a direct free kick in Euro 2008.

Austria made some good forays forward in the last stages of the game, but lacked the quality to beat the German defense, and Die Mannschaft moved on to face Portugal in the quarter-finals, knocking out Austria and Poland.

Euro 2008 Flash News: Croatia vs Poland 1-0

posted by my-blogmedia | Tuesday, June 17, 2008 |

Hi all, Croatia go to the secondround after beat Poland 1-0.

Poland are out of Euro 2008 following a 0-1 defeat by already-qualified Croatia in their last Group B encounter.Poland needed a win and also depended on the result at Austria versus Germany, but Leo Beenhakker's men never looked like threatening Croatia at all.

The Croatians were stronger throughout most of the match and secured the victory with a goal from Ivan Klasnic in the 52nd minute. Klasnic received a short pass from Pranjic and struck home for 0-1.

As Germany were leading Austria in the other other match at this point, Poland lost their motivation to give it their all against Croatia. Poland crash out of the tournament with no more than one point, which was earned against Austria in the second game.

Croatia were already confirmed as group winners and play their quarter final match against Turkey.

Top 10 Foods four your Health and Bones: Spinach (8)

Hi my-blogmedia readers. Continuing the earlier post. Enjoy.

Spinach
A renowned muscle builder, spinach is also rich in vitamin K, which has been shown to bolster bone-mineral density (thus protecting against osteoporosis) and reduce fracture rates. Spinach is also high in calcium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, and even selenium, which may help protect the liver and ward off Alzheimer's.

One more reason to add it to your diet: A study in the Journal of Nutrition suggests that the carotenoid neoxanthin in spinach can kill prostate cancer cells, while the beta-carotene fights colon cancer. "Popeye was on to something," says Bowerman. "Eat one cup of cooked spinach, or two cups raw, four times a week."

Wait for the next food.
