David Beckham Performed all of his body ...
posted by my-blogmedia | Tuesday, June 24, 2008 | movie, sport, styleSome dermatologists say that slathering on shiny lip glosses can actually increase your risk of developing skin
cancer. Of course, wearing any lip product without SPF doesn’t exactly shield the thin skin from sun damage. But the slick, shiny nature of the gloss could be making the sun’s UV rays hit harder, some experts say.
“These lip glosses can make more of the light rays penetrate directly through the skin instead of getting reflected off of the skin’s surface,” says Dr. Christine Brown, a dermatologist at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. (You're covered, however, if you wear lip gloss with SPF.)
At worst, say some dermatologists, the resulting sun damage can lead to potentially fatal forms of skin cancer. An estimated 3,500 new cases of skin cancer of the lips are diagnosed each year, and 90 percent of those cancers are squamous cell carcinoma. While that form of cancer isn't usually particularly serious, it can be more aggressive on the lips than on other parts of the skin. If left untreated, it can cause disfigurement, and in very few cases, it can spread to other organs and become deadly. But the less serious effects may grab a lip gloss junkie’s attention more quickly: All that sun exposure could be slowly building gross, non-cancerous disfigurements on your lips. One such effect is actinic keratosis, a small, scaly patch of skin that can morph into a wart-like bump if left untreated. Sun exposure can also cause small brown spots that look like freckles on the lips. The spots are noncancerous but could cause people to whisper, "Hey, you've got food on your lips.
Sun damage can also cause premature aging, making the already thin skin on your lips even thinner, which can lead to rips and tears. Ultraviolet light zaps skin of much of its elasticity, leaving the skin lax. That lack of elasticity can prevent the upper and lower lips from lining up properly, which can cause pools of saliva to collect at the corners of the mouth.
It's the moisture in lip gloss that's to blame, says Dr. Bruce Robinson, a Manhattan dermatologist. Your lips are equipped with a protective outer layer, but the hydration of a lip gloss "kind of smooshes that down," Robinson says. Once that outer layer is effectively squashed, it's easier for UV rays to penetrate deeper into the skin. "Instead of having to travel through that thicker layer, it's more condensed," Robinson says. "So the UV rays reach are reaching deeper layers of epidermis and dermis because you don't have this forcefield. "Sun's laser focus on lips. Apart from the extra hydration, the “super shine” and “ultra shine” of the glosses could be damaging as well.
“Take a magnifying glass and put it over your lips,” Robinson says. When you apply lip gloss and go out in the sun, “that’s essentially what you’re doing.” But no studies have confirmed the lip gloss-skin cancer link, and not all dermatologists agree that it poses a risk.
“The only way I could see it is if you’re thinking you’re protected, and you stay out in the sun longer, that may
increase your risk,” says Robin Ashinoff, a dermatologist in Hackensack, N.J. That's what happened to Sherry Duplar, a fair-skinned, horseback-riding redhead who spends as much time as possible outdoors. She always applied lip balm or gloss, and figured that was enough.
“I didn’t realize, back then, that our lips were so susceptible,” says Duplar, who’s 59 and lives in Mesquite, Texas. But about 12 years ago, Duplar’s lips were cracked and chapped, and constantly peeling, and nothing she did would heal them. She’d developed actinic cheilitis, a precancerous condition that's sometimes known as "farmer's lip" or "sailor's lip." It often leads to squamous cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer.
Since then, she’s had three laser treatments, to deconstruct the affected skin cells. The treatments which leave her lips raw, swelled up and oozing, for as many as three weeks. “It was nasty,” Duplar says.
Now she slathers on lip balm boasting 50 SPF before she goes out in the sun, which makes her dermatologist, the lip gloss-bashing Brown, much happier. Brown wishes women would abandon their lip glosses for lip balm with an SPF of at least 30. But for those who balk at tossing all their lip gloss, Robinson offers a compromise: find a lip gloss infused with SPF, which also protects the lips from ultraviolet light.

Have you ever though how much money that are earned by a world's models. My-blogmedia posts the world top 10 earning models based on Forbes magazine survey. Here is the list. Enjoy.
1. Gisele Bundchen ($35 Million)
The 27-year-old continues to bag new contracts, noticeably with Pantene and a cosmetics giant yet to be named. Her face graces ads for Disney, Nivea, Vogue eyewear and Aquascutum, the U.K.-based luxury line. Her line of Grendene sandals, Ipanema by Gisele, banks her about $6 million a year. And her romance with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady keeps her in the tabloids--she even escaped being blamed for the Patriots' loss to the Giants. On the left is her picture.
2. Heidi Klum ($14 Million)
The second highest-paid model in the world is more of a media and retail mogul, with hit shows in two countries and lines of jewelry, jeans and skincare.
The 34-year-old model and mother of three (hubby is singer Seal) has renewed her Victoria's Secret contract, heads up the hit Bravo (soon to be Lifetime) reality fashion show Project Runway and Germany's version of America's Next Top Model. She designs three lines of Mouawad jewelry and a line of Jordache jeans. Then there's new deals with Diet Coke, McDonald's, Volkswagen and Fontanis water. She's also coming out with a skincare line, In An Instant, to be marketed by powerhouse Guthy-Renker.
3. Kate Moss ($7.5 Million )
The überwaif lost some important contracts last year, but her fashion line is an international hit.The 34-year-old ended campaigns with Burberry, Stella McCartney, Dior and Versace. But her retail line with British retailer Topshop, carried in 29 countries, keeps her bank account from starving. Other clients include Donna Karan, Longchamp, Agent Provocateur, Yves Saint Laurent, Roberto Cavalli and Rimmel.
4. Adriana Lima ($7 Million)
The Brazilian beauty remains hugely popular on the Web and in her Victoria's Secret commercials. The blue-eyed beauty, 27, lost her Italian phone company Telecom Italia contract, but holds on to bread-and-butter clients Victoria's Secret and Maybelline, for which she just renegotiated a multiyear deal. She also modeled for Mexico City-based department store giant Liverpool and graced the April cover of GQ magazine, her second for the men's mag, and drew a record number of hits to its Web site. Her sexy Valentine's Day Victoria's Secret Superbowl ad was a sensation.
5. Doutzen Kroes ($6 Million)
This honey from Holland, 23, makes the longest leap up the list this year thanks to her contracts with Calvin Klein, L'Oréal and Victoria's Secret. The Dutch model catwalks into the top five, thanks to being a triple contract threat: She reps fragrance and fashion with Calvin Klein's Eternity and White Label, cosmetics with L'Oréal and lingerie as the newest Victoria's Secret model. And let's not forget diamonds with De Beers.
6. Karolina Kurkova ($5 Million)
The Victoria's Secret babe remains one of the lingerie giant's most important--and highest paid--models. If it seems like this Czech beauty has been around the industry much longer than would it would seem for someone only 23 years old--that is because she hit success young, appearing on Vogue at 16 and bagging her Victoria's Secret contract at 21. This year, she renegotiated her contract with the lingerie giant, as well as campaigned for Dell and Mexico City-based department store giant Liverpool.
7. Natalia Vodianova ($4.8 Million)
This ravishing Russian and mother of three, 26, has been a Calvin Klein muse for longer than any other model, including Kate Moss. Vodianova is the exclusive face of Calvin Klein's Euphoria fragrance. She also picked up deals with Paris-based beauty giant Guerlain, Chanel, Versace and Diane Von Furstenberg, and continues to model for David Yurman jewelry.
8. Carolyn Murphy ($4.5 Million)
The face of Estée Lauder has no trouble bagging other clients. If you've been in a department store any time within the past few years, you've seen this ubiquitous 32-year-old. The porcelain-skinned beauty is not only the main face of cosmetics powerhouse Estée Lauder, but she adorns ads for Anne Klein, Tiffany & Co., Lord & Taylor and Jantzen swimwear.
9. Daria Werbowy ($3.8 Million)
This striking brunette, 24, is the main visage for beauty behemoth Lancome, but that is far from all. She rotates ad campaigns for Louis Vuitton, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, Valentino, H&M, Missoni and David Yurman jewelry.
10. Miranda Kerr ($3.5 Million)
The bewitching babe from Down Under is Victoria's Secret's latest star. Kerr is getting a bit of a late start, breaking through in her delectable Victoria's Secret campaigns at the ripe age of 23. However, expect her to remain in angel wings for awhile--the lingerie giant just renegotiated her contract for multiple years. She's also the face of Australian department store David Jones and the face most likely to be seen around town with actor Orlando Bloom. Not bad for an Aussie who only moved Stateside two years ago.

6 Surprising Ways to Look Younger..!!!
posted by my-blogmedia | Friday, April 11, 2008 | health, style1. Put your blow-dryer on cold and make your lotions do more
Use your blow-dryer on a cold setting to dry your lotion and sunscreen, says dermatologist Fredric Brandt, MD, author of 10 Minutes/10 Years. Allowing skin care products to set makes your makeup go on more smoothly and last longer.
The newest age erasers? Fungi-filled face products. "Antioxidant-rich mushrooms decrease inflammation that leads to wrinkling and a loss of firmness, and they don't cause irritation," says Marta Rendon, MD, of the University of Miami School of Medicine. Some 'shrooms also contain enzymes that speed cell turnover, slow collagen breakdown, and improve tone and texture.
5. Use a sleep-time moisturizer
If the number of night creams coming onto the market is any indication, the right time to pamper your skin is when you hit the sack: Last year consumers spent about $56 million on nighttime moisturizers alone. Although no scientific studies have been published comparing nighttime with daytime products, there may be some advantages to treating your skin while you slumber.
Cosmetic chemists know, for example, that many anti-aging ingredients stay active longer when they're not exposed to sunlight. Retinoids, which speed cell turnover, "can break down chemically with light exposure and become ineffective," says Julian Omidi, MD, a dermatologist in private practice in Los Angeles. Other "anti-agers"--such as topical vitamins, including C and E--don't hold up well in sunlight or air. They're in both day and night products, but you probably get more antioxidant bang for your buck when you apply them before you go to sleep.
6. Sleep flat on your back
Smashing your face into a pillow creates fold lines that eventually become permanent if they're repeated every night. Spending time on your back also helps counter the effects of gravity that accumulate during the day. In a recent study of 38 women and men, Japanese researchers found there was greater wrinkling in the afternoon than in the morning; they concluded that the face literally falls with gravity as the day progresses. At night, you get a chance to reverse that.

You want to know what the expert told to the question ??. Here is the answer just for you
The key is EXERCISE. you can't slim down unless you workout, pronto. Here are some catagories you would probably should try...
By warming up before any physical activity, not only can you improve your performance, you also reduce the risk of injury. Start your workout session by doing a light form of exercise for about 5-10 minutes. Stretch your muscles following this 5- to 10-minute warm-up.
Cool down After your workout, spend another 5-10 minutes cooling down to lower your heart rate. Your cool-down should include 5 minutes of cardio exercise at a slower pace, and 5 minutes of gentle stretching, once your breathing returns to normal. By cooling down, you can help to reduce the risk of injuries and muscle soreness from your workout.
Stretching Exercises Remember these stretching tips when doing the following exercises: Bouncing while stretching is not effective and could cause injury. Stretch to the point where slight tension, not pain, can be felt. Never stretch torn or injured muscles unless you have consulted with your doctor. Hold each stretch for 20-30 seconds. Return to starting position. Always repeat to both sides, when applicable.
Thighs Stand on your left foot, next to a wall for support. With your right hand, pull the heel of your right foot toward your buttocks. Hold for 20-30 seconds.
Hamstrings Sit on the floor with your legs in a straddle position. Extend your arms out in front of you and slowly lean over, bringing your chest down toward the floor. Hold for 20-30 seconds.
Calves Lean against a wall with both hands. Stretch your right leg straight behind you, keeping your foot flat on the floor. Bend your left leg at the knee and lean into the wall. Hold for 20-30 seconds.
Buttocks Lie on your back and bring your right knee up toward your chest; hold with arms. Hold for 20-30 seconds.
Shoulders and Chest Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, chin down and hands clasped behind your back. Pull your shoulders down and back so that your shoulder blades are touching. Tighten your abdomen; don't arch your lower back. Hold for 20-30 seconds.
Lower Back Lie on your back on the floor. Bend your legs at the knees at a 90-degree angle. Roll both knees over to the ground on the right; keep your shoulders on the ground. Hold for 20-30 seconds, return to the start position.
Okay, friends. Is is enough for you?. Hope this information is enough for you. We'll talk about other thinks in the next fitures. What fitures ??. Let's wait and see. (source: yahoo.answer).
Women, Are you ready for Valentine Day ??
posted by my-blogmedia | Thursday, February 14, 2008 | styleOkay, here are the secrets.
So far you've been witty, warm, and wonderfully available. Now it's time to do a Jackie O and disappear. Not forever, mind you, but an occasional night or a weekend will do the trick. Better still if he can't reach you by phone or email. Jackie drove Jack Kennedy wild with that mysterious agenda of hers. Jackie drove Jack Kennedy wild with that mysterious agenda of hers. When your plans don't include him, you're oh-so-irresistible.
2. Woo Him with Food
"Cooking is not about applying heat, procedure, method, but about transformation of a more intimate kind," says the siren chef Nigella Lawson. Seduction starts when you cook him his favorite meal, and that might mean day-old pot roast, mashed potatoes, and chocolate milk. "Paint the canvas," says Nigella -- flowers on the table, a pot boiling on the stove, and you the seductress in the middle of it all. Dig in yourself, she advises. Show him you're a woman of voluptuous appetites.
She was U.S. ambassador to France during the Clinton years. But in her heyday she was the woman others wouldn't allow their husbands within a ten-foot radius of. When Pamela Digby (Churchill Hayward Harriman) wanted to charm a man, she focused in and hung breathless on his every word. Give it a whirl. Ask him how he got so smart, so handsome, so strong. Then actively listen to his answer Ask him how he got so smart, so handsome, so strong. Then actively listen to his answer instead of interrupting with your own. "Pamelizing," it's called, after the woman who made listening a deeply seductive art.
In "The Seven Year Itch," Marilyn Monroe's white skirt collided with an updraft from a subway grate, causing men all over the world to lose their minds. Anything that looks like it might come undone unexpectedly will work -- with the exception of pants so tight they're about to expose your posterior. The slippery shoulder strap and the descending neckline are a good place to start. There's nothing wrong with the tasteful display of a little skin.
If he thinks you're funny, he's probably already spellbound -- as the late actress Carole Lombard learned. She won Clark Gable with a fun-loving prank, after their on-screen love scenes didn't get a rise out of him. Take a tip from Lombard: tell him a great joke that makes him laugh until he cries. Take a tip from Lombard: tell him a great joke that makes him laugh until he cries. He'llthink it's sexy when you do it with aplomb (i.e., without flubbing the punch line). Better still, make it off-color, steering clear of the raunchy lines. You'll see. He'll be delightfully surprised, possibly flustered, and kind of turned on.
Women pride themselves on taming their men. Still, he hears the call of the wild and finds it hard to resist a woman who seizes the day. You can trace Camilla Parker-Bowles's earliest seduction of Prince Charles to her sense of adventure -- on the hunting field, in love, and (it's said) in the boudoir. Forget the makeup -- take him hang-gliding, say, or camping in the deep dark woods.
It's a small gesture but immensely flattering -- punctuate your conversation with his name. "You look so wonderful, Lionel, in your tuxedo I thought George Clooney had come through the door." Siren newswomen such as Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters use the technique to make their interview subjects cave. And they do, time and time again. It's a verbal caress -- like touching but not quite as overt. Careful not to overdo, lest he suspect you are trying to close a sale.
"It's an unseen, unforgettable, ultimate fashion accessory. It heralds your arrival and prolongs your departure," said the matchless fashionista Coco Chanel. Coco invented Chanel No. 5 to evoke "eternal woman," and sales went through the roof when Marilyn Monroe confessed it was all she ever wore to bed. Choose a scent that spins your irresistible legend faithfully. It's an intimate part of who you are. To him, you're as irresistible as you smell. Tonight he'll be moved by your fragrance on his pillow. Your scent will bring you to mind even long after you've ridden off into the sunset with another man. (source: yahoo)
