15 Mistakes what people do in Getting their Job Opportunity..!!!

posted by my-blogmedia | Friday, February 29, 2008 | ,

Hi friends,

Why some of people fail during the interview when they search for a job??. And the loose the opportunity for getting the job they want??. There are several aspects that we should aware of. I'm here quote what Rachel Zupek said from CareerBuilder. HE mentioned the key why we can't make the opootunity. Just read what he said. Those are for you ..!!. Free !!. Hope this can help you, my friends.

You talk too fast. You avoid eye contact. You ask too many questions. You wear too much perfume. You lie about your work history. You show up late to interviews. You don’t do your research. And you wonder why you haven’t gotten a job yet? There’s no such thing as an error-free job search, says Eli Davidson, business coach and author of “Funky to Fabulous.” Most mistakes can be avoided with a little attentiveness.

“The best way to get a great job is to have a laser beam focus,” Davidson says. “The more targeted and specific you are, the more powerful your job search will be.” Many people assume only young job seekers are making these mistakes; but in reality, both new and seasoned candidates face different challenges that cause them to slip up, says Kip Hollister, founder and CEO of Hollister Inc., a New England staffing firm.

Younger applicants approach their job search with a “what’s in it for me” attitude, Hollister says. They lack humility and their expectations exceed their qualifications. Seasoned job seekers, on the other hand, oftentimes come across with more attitude, indicating they may be uncoachable or won’t adapt to a new career environment, she says. They’re challenged with keeping their résumé competitive and they have unrealistic salary expectations.
Don’t shoot yourself in the foot during your next job search. Here are 15 common mistakes job seekers should avoid:

1. Fire … Ready, Aim Don’t waste your time shooting out résumés before you’ve aimed for your ideal job, Davidson says. “When you go after jobs you aren’t qualified for, you are rejected more often. Take the time to ready your job search, aim for what you want and pursue your career with fiery determination.”

2. Acting in a video résumé “Unless you’re looking to be cast in the next play, hiring managers are not interested in watching you act,” Hollister says. Decide whether a video résumé is appropriate to the position for which you’re applying before sending one.

3. Assuming you’re on a first-name basis Never call your interviewer by his or her first name, including interviewers younger than you, says career management expert Sally Haver. Until you hear, “You can call me Fred,” or the equivalent, address the interviewer formally.

4. Your life’s an open book “Keep your private life private,” Davidson advises. “Make sure all of your wild photos on Facebook or MySpace are not available to the public.”

5. Winging it “One of the biggest turn-offs for a hiring manager is when a candidate they are interviewing has not done the research necessary to understand both the position and the company they are applying for,” Hollister says. Davidson agrees: “Unless you are more prepared, more practiced and more passionate than the other candidates, you are wasting everyone’s time.”

6. Neglecting your appearance You’ve heard it once. You’ll hear it again. “Don’t dress too sexy, too casual, too outrageous or wear too much jewelry,” says Bill Behn, national director of staffing for the Atlanta branch of SolomonEdwardsGroup, a staffing services firm. “Dress for the position you want to have.”

7. Applying just to apply Apply only for the jobs and companies that interest you, Davidson says. “Go after that job like an Olympic athlete goes for a medal.” Don’t waste time sending out résumés for positions you don’t really want.

8. Not talking the talk “An interviewer is not looking for a yes or no response to their question,” Hollister says. “They do want a direct response, but it is OK to support your point with specific examples that are relevant to your work experience.” On the other hand don’t too talk too much. It reveals nervousness or the inability to deliver a direct response.

9. Being unprofessional “I actually had an interviewee tell me to contact her via e-mail at,” Behn says. “Needless to say, that person was not offered the job.”

10. Sending a phone book “Sending a 10-page résumé is a mammoth error,” Davidson says. Highlight your abilities in one page. If you’re having trouble, invite someone to help you. “Remember the person reviewing résumés has 15 seconds to decide to bring you in.”

11. Doing it alone “They say it’s all about networking,” Hollister says. “They’re right.” Not networking with everyone you know cuts your chances of finding a great job, Davidson says. The more people you involve, the better your chances.

12. Shunning assistance Many applicants think asking for help is a sign of weakness, Davidson says. In reality, it’s one of the most courageous and effective actions you can take. Ask someone you admire for help during your job search.

13. Forgetting to say thank you Always send a thank you e-mail to the hiring manager. Use it as an opportunity to leave an impression on him or her by referencing something you discussed in your interview, Hollister suggests. Behn says job seekers often “nail” the interview, get a job offer and then send a mistake-riddled thank you note. “That’s a great way to get your offer rescinded,” he says.

14. Talking negatively about past employers “Regardless of how valid your point of view is, it’s not necessary to trash your past employer,” Hollister says. If you’re asked to talk about your previous job, be prepared to put a positive spin on it, showing you valued the experience.

15. Not asking good questions “Not asking open-ended questions is a sure-fire way to show that you don’t care about the company or the position you’re interviewing for,” Behn says.Ask questions like, “Where do you see this position going?” “What is going to make the person who takes this position successful?” “Why is the position open?” or, “How do you see me fitting in here?”.

In memoriam "Temple of The Dog"...!!!

posted by my-blogmedia | Monday, February 25, 2008 |

Here we are, the band "Temple of The Dog" where Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder did the duo at "Hunger Strike". I gave you the brief stry and also the video clip of "Hunger Strike". Enjoy,my friends...

Temple of the Dog was started by Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell, who was a roommate of Andrew Wood, the lead singer of Malfunkshun and Mother Love Bone. Wood died on March 19, 1990 of a heroin overdose, the day Cornell got back from a tour. As he went on to tour Europe a few days later, he started writing songs in tribute to his late friend. The result was two songs, "Reach Down" and "Say Hello 2 Heaven", that he recorded as soon as he got back from touring.

The recorded material was slow and melodic; much different musically from the aggressive rock music of Soundgarden. That is why Cornell approached Wood's former bandmates, Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament—who were still figuring out how to continue without Mother Love Bone—with the intention of releasing the songs as a single. Ament described the collaboration as "a really good thing at the time" for him and Gossard that put them into a "band situation where we could play and make music". The band's lineup was completed by the addition of Soundgarden (and later Pearl Jam) drummer Matt Cameron and future Pearl Jam lead guitarist Mike McCready. They named themselves Temple of the Dog, after the lyrics in a Mother Love Bone song, "Man of Golden Words".

The band started rehearsing "Reach Down" and "Say Hello 2 Heaven" and other songs written by Cornell on tour previous to Wood's death, as well as re-working some existing material from demos written by Gossard, Ament, and Cameron. One such demo became a song for two bands; recorded as "Footsteps" for Vedder's and Gossard's future band, Pearl Jam and as "Times of Trouble" for Temple of the Dog. The idea of doing covers of Wood's solo material also came up, but was abandoned quickly, as they realised it would make people (including Wood's close friends and relatives) think they are "exploiting his material".

The release of a single was soon deemed a "stupid idea" by Cornell and dropped in favor of an EP, or album. The album was recorded in only 15 days, produced by the band themselves. Stone described the recording process as a "non-pressure filled" situation, as there were no expectations or pressure coming from the record company. Eddie Vedder, who had flown from San Diego to Seattle to audition to be the singer of Mookie Blaylock (which eventually became Pearl Jam), ended up providing backing vocals. "Hunger Strike" became a duet between Cornell and Vedder. Cornell was having trouble with the vocals at practice, when Vedder stepped in. Cornell later said that "he sang half of that song not even knowing that I'd wanted the part to be there and he sang it exactly the way I was thinking about doing it, just instinctively."

Temple of the Dog was released on April 16, 1991 through A&M Records and initially sold 70,000 copies in the United States. Ament recalled that they requested a Pearl Jam sticker on the cover—as they had just picked their new name—because "it'll be a good thing for us", but they were refused. The album received favorable reviews, but failed to chart. Contemporary critic Steve Huey, from All Music Guide, rated it with four and a half stars out of five, while David Fricke from Rolling Stone wrote—in retrospective—that it "deserves immortality". The band members were pleased with the material, as it achieved its purpose; Cornell believed that "Andy really would have liked" the songs, and Gossard also asserted that he thought Wood would be "blown away by the whole thing". Soon after the album's release, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam started recording and Temple of the Dog broke up.

In the summer of 1992, the album received new attention. Although the album had been released more than a year earlier, A&M Records realized that they had in their catalog what was essentially a collaboration between Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, who had both risen to mainstream attention in the months since the album's release. A&M decided to re-issue the album and promote "Hunger Strike" as a single, with an accompanying music video. The attention allowed both the album and single to chart on Billboard, and resulted in a boost in album sales. Temple of the Dog ended up selling more than a million copies, achieving platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America. In a recent interview with Ultimate Guitar Archive, Cornell stated he would be open for a Temple of the Dog reunion, or "some collaboration with any combination of those guys". He also revealed that Temple of the Dog was the reason he joined Audioslave, as the experience made him "keep an open mind"
about collaborations with musicians from other bands. (source: wikipedia;Youtube).

Superheroes were out in full force as DC Comics made the trip from Gotham to showcase its line of products connected to Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight." Mattel made news early on by revealing the weapons-laden Lamborghini that Bruce Wayne drives after parking his Batmobile, in addition to its ultra-detailed figure for Heath Ledger's Joker. Lego, which holds a Batman license, opted out of producing toys for the heavily anticipated sequel given its dark nature, while DC Direct — the toy arm of the comics giant — kept its plans under wraps as it prepares a series of collectible statues and props (source: mtv).

Incubus will perform at Jakarta, Indonesia at March 05, 2008...!!!

posted by my-blogmedia | Thursday, February 21, 2008 |

Incubus band, is scheduled to make a world tour at Jakarta, Indonesia in February 5, 2008. Who are Incubus band?. Here is a little introduction about them. Okay, friends, be prerared to watch them alive !!!.

Incubus, which means the Demon who rapes woman in their sleeping, is a US rock band.THeir base is in Calabasas, California.Their most succesfull songs are "Drive", "Wish You Were here"."Megalomaniac", "Dig", "Anna Molly" and "Pardon Me". The band has reached multi-platinum sales with albums such as Make Yourself, Morning View, and A Crow Left of the Murder. Incubus released their latest studio album, Light Grenades, in November 2006.

The band comprises vocalist Brandon Boyd, lead guitarist Michael Einziger, bassist Ben Kenney (formerly of The Roots), DJ Kilmore, and drummer Jose Antonio Pasillas II. Former members were bassist Alex Katunich (a.k.a. "Dirk Lance"") and Gavin Koppell (a.k.a. "DJ Lyfe").

Since the very beginning, Incubus has carved out a niche for themselves. Vocalist Boyd, drummer Pasillas, and guitarist Einziger had been friends since middle school. At the age of fifteen, Mike Einzinger contacted music and mathematics teacher Joanne Stanulonis. She was working with Steve Vai's project of teen musical wunderkinds, "Bad4Good". Joanne agreed to help Mike and Brandon.

In 1993, Incubus was introduced to Jim Wirt, a local record producer through Joanne Stanulonis. Joanne was friends with both Jim Wirt and his wife Kathleen. Jim agreed to record demos for the band during unbooked studio time and eventually many of these demos were compiled to create the band's first album - the independently released "Fungus Amongus" album (initially distributed by both the band and Red Eye Records and then ultimately re-released by Epic Records). It was at this time (1993-94) that the band was introduced to Mark Shoffner, a close friend of Jim Wirt, who then became the band's first manager.

In 1995, Gavin Koppell saw the band play and asked if they would be interested in using some of his tracks, which incorporated the use of turntables. Gavin joined full-time after his first rehearsal. Shortly thereafter, Incubus' unusual amalgamation of styles and high-energy shows, combined with its growing fan base, attracted labels and put the band in the enviable position of a bidding war. Incubus finally landed a record deal in the summer of 1996 with Immortal Records, a label distributed by Sony's Epic Records, whose top artists in those days were Korn and Far. Touring throughout the remainder of 1996, Incubus established themselves as a top drawing live act, gaining a dedicated following all over the United States. To start off the new year, Immortal Records released Incubus' EP entitled Enjoy Incubus on January 7, 1997. The EP featured updated and mastered versions of four tracks from Fungus Amongus, plus two recently written tracks. These were the first recordings to include the newly acquired Gavin Koppell a.k.a. 'DJ Lyfe'. After the release of Enjoy Incubus, the band completed several mini-tours in its support. Their first major tour was with Korn in Europe and their first major US tour was as support act on the Black Sabbath / Pantera tour. (source: wikipedia;

Top 10 Single Sexiest Hollywood Artist...!!!

posted by my-blogmedia | Wednesday, February 20, 2008 | , ,

Hi, all..... !!!.

Here we have the Top 10 Sexiest Single Hollywood Artists. You wanna know who is on the top. Here I give it to
you. Enjoy.

1. Rihanna: The Barbadian bombshell and former beauty pageant contestant is currently uncontested on the sexy and single celeb circuit. With a deadly combo of killer looks and killer hooks, the Grammy-winning songbird is undoubtedly perched atop our list.

2. Ryan Phillippe: The delicious dad of two set hearts a flutter with early, shirtless roles in "White Squall," "54," and "Cruel Intentions." 10 years later, he's considered one of the best young actors Hollywood has to offer. He also happens to be the hottest!.

3. Carmen Electra: You'd think the former "Baywatch" babe was born in the 1800's because she's been famous for so long, but the eternally beautiful 35-year-old model/dancer/singer/actress/pinup/former Prince muse continues to star in men's fantasies every night of the week.

4. Wentworth Miller: Perhaps the "Prison Break" playboy's multi-racial background adds to his sex appeal. Perhaps the attraction has something to do with his piercing eyes, those luscious lips, the bulging biceps...

5. Kate Hudson: The Golden Globe-winning goddess ("Almost Famous") has Goldie to thank for her good looks and bubbly personality, but she also happens to be a box office draw and a hot mama, having birthed a son (Ryder Russell Robinson) in 2004.

6. John Mayer: Minka's ex has been linked to many gorgeous girls in Hollywood, but this Grammy-winning bachelor is still on the prowl for Mrs. Right (now). Fortunately for brunettes around the world, he seems to be done with dumb blondes like Jessica Simpson.

7. Minka Kelly: Now that the "Friday Night Lights'" fox is back on the market (thanks to her ex, John Mayer), she can consider calling up her other ex, the incredible Chris Evans ("Fantastic Four's" Johnny Storm) ... not that a hottie like this should ever have to call a man for a date.

8. Adrian Grenier: Thankfully the 31-year-old (best known for his role as Vincent Chase on HBO's "Entourage") never cemented anything with a certain socialite he's been spotted with in the past year. Otherwise, we'd consider him skanky, not sexy.

9. Blake Lively: Chase's "Gossip Girl" co-star saw her stock rise after her role in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" won rave reviews. Ever since, the 20-year-old has been in high demand. She was recently featured on the cover of Teen Vogue, and a "Sisterhood" sequel is set for this summer.

10. Chase Crawford: The 22-year-old Texan started out as a model before moving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. The teen heartthrob solidified his hunk status as soon as his character, Nate Archibald, hit the screen on the CW's latest water cooler hit, "Gossip Girl." Although he's been linked with Carrie Underwood, she's repeatedly denied their relationship is serious.(source: yahoo.entertainment).

You want to know what the expert told to the question ??. Here is the answer just for you

The key is EXERCISE. you can't slim down unless you workout, pronto. Here are some catagories you would probably should try...

By warming up before any physical activity, not only can you improve your performance, you also reduce the risk of injury. Start your workout session by doing a light form of exercise for about 5-10 minutes. Stretch your muscles following this 5- to 10-minute warm-up.

Cool down After your workout, spend another 5-10 minutes cooling down to lower your heart rate. Your cool-down should include 5 minutes of cardio exercise at a slower pace, and 5 minutes of gentle stretching, once your breathing returns to normal. By cooling down, you can help to reduce the risk of injuries and muscle soreness from your workout.

Stretching Exercises Remember these stretching tips when doing the following exercises: Bouncing while stretching is not effective and could cause injury. Stretch to the point where slight tension, not pain, can be felt. Never stretch torn or injured muscles unless you have consulted with your doctor. Hold each stretch for 20-30 seconds. Return to starting position. Always repeat to both sides, when applicable.

Thighs Stand on your left foot, next to a wall for support. With your right hand, pull the heel of your right foot toward your buttocks. Hold for 20-30 seconds.

Hamstrings Sit on the floor with your legs in a straddle position. Extend your arms out in front of you and slowly lean over, bringing your chest down toward the floor. Hold for 20-30 seconds.
Calves Lean against a wall with both hands. Stretch your right leg straight behind you, keeping your foot flat on the floor. Bend your left leg at the knee and lean into the wall. Hold for 20-30 seconds.

Buttocks Lie on your back and bring your right knee up toward your chest; hold with arms. Hold for 20-30 seconds.

Shoulders and Chest Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, chin down and hands clasped behind your back. Pull your shoulders down and back so that your shoulder blades are touching. Tighten your abdomen; don't arch your lower back. Hold for 20-30 seconds.

Lower Back Lie on your back on the floor. Bend your legs at the knees at a 90-degree angle. Roll both knees over to the ground on the right; keep your shoulders on the ground. Hold for 20-30 seconds, return to the start position.

Okay, friends. Is is enough for you?. Hope this information is enough for you. We'll talk about other thinks in the next fitures. What fitures ??. Let's wait and see. (source: yahoo.answer).

Women, Are you ready for Valentine Day ??

posted by my-blogmedia | Thursday, February 14, 2008 |

Hi all, we meet again..

As a lover, a question arise to us. Do we ready for valentine day. Here are several types came from Ellen. T. White based on her book " Simply Irresistible".it's FREE...!!!. She gave the secret for woman who really a lover, do they? hahaha..Friends, go review and judge by yourself.

Okay, here are the secrets.

1. Add a Dash of Mystery
So far you've been witty, warm, and wonderfully available. Now it's time to do a Jackie O and disappear. Not forever, mind you, but an occasional night or a weekend will do the trick. Better still if he can't reach you by phone or email. Jackie drove Jack Kennedy wild with that mysterious agenda of hers. Jackie drove Jack Kennedy wild with that mysterious agenda of hers. When your plans don't include him, you're oh-so-irresistible.

2. Woo Him with Food
"Cooking is not about applying heat, procedure, method, but about transformation of a more intimate kind," says the siren chef Nigella Lawson. Seduction starts when you cook him his favorite meal, and that might mean day-old pot roast, mashed potatoes, and chocolate milk. "Paint the canvas," says Nigella -- flowers on the table, a pot boiling on the stove, and you the seductress in the middle of it all. Dig in yourself, she advises. Show him you're a woman of voluptuous appetites.

3. "Pamelize" him.
She was U.S. ambassador to France during the Clinton years. But in her heyday she was the woman others wouldn't allow their husbands within a ten-foot radius of. When Pamela Digby (Churchill Hayward Harriman) wanted to charm a man, she focused in and hung breathless on his every word. Give it a whirl. Ask him how he got so smart, so handsome, so strong. Then actively listen to his answer Ask him how he got so smart, so handsome, so strong. Then actively listen to his answer instead of interrupting with your own. "Pamelizing," it's called, after the woman who made listening a deeply seductive art.

4. Channel a Little Marilyn
In "The Seven Year Itch," Marilyn Monroe's white skirt collided with an updraft from a subway grate, causing men all over the world to lose their minds. Anything that looks like it might come undone unexpectedly will work -- with the exception of pants so tight they're about to expose your posterior. The slippery shoulder strap and the descending neckline are a good place to start. There's nothing wrong with the tasteful display of a little skin.

5. Make Him Laugh
If he thinks you're funny, he's probably already spellbound -- as the late actress Carole Lombard learned. She won Clark Gable with a fun-loving prank, after their on-screen love scenes didn't get a rise out of him. Take a tip from Lombard: tell him a great joke that makes him laugh until he cries. Take a tip from Lombard: tell him a great joke that makes him laugh until he cries. He'llthink it's sexy when you do it with aplomb (i.e., without flubbing the punch line). Better still, make it off-color, steering clear of the raunchy lines. You'll see. He'll be delightfully surprised, possibly flustered, and kind of turned on.

6. Flirt with Adventure
Women pride themselves on taming their men. Still, he hears the call of the wild and finds it hard to resist a woman who seizes the day. You can trace Camilla Parker-Bowles's earliest seduction of Prince Charles to her sense of adventure -- on the hunting field, in love, and (it's said) in the boudoir. Forget the makeup -- take him hang-gliding, say, or camping in the deep dark woods.

7. Use His Name
It's a small gesture but immensely flattering -- punctuate your conversation with his name. "You look so wonderful, Lionel, in your tuxedo I thought George Clooney had come through the door." Siren newswomen such as Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters use the technique to make their interview subjects cave. And they do, time and time again. It's a verbal caress -- like touching but not quite as overt. Careful not to overdo, lest he suspect you are trying to close a sale.

8. Find Your Signature Scent
"It's an unseen, unforgettable, ultimate fashion accessory. It heralds your arrival and prolongs your departure," said the matchless fashionista Coco Chanel. Coco invented Chanel No. 5 to evoke "eternal woman," and sales went through the roof when Marilyn Monroe confessed it was all she ever wore to bed. Choose a scent that spins your irresistible legend faithfully. It's an intimate part of who you are. To him, you're as irresistible as you smell. Tonight he'll be moved by your fragrance on his pillow. Your scent will bring you to mind even long after you've ridden off into the sunset with another man. (source: yahoo)

Ellen T. White has made a systematic study of the seductresses among her family, friends, and the seductive women of history for the secrets of their success and distilled them into "Simply Irresistible." To support her magnificent obsession, she works as managing editor of The New York Public Library, and as a cultural writer for magazines and newspapers. She lives in New York City and The Springs, East Hampton, New York. She is online at
